Do static IP websites get better rankings on Google?

By Jakob Jelling

Founded in September 1998 by Larry Page & Sergey Brin, www.google.com, is one of the largest search engine on the web, Google receives over 200 million queries each day through its various services. Google, Inc. is a U.S.-based corporation that aims to “organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful”.

Well, it is for this reason that all the business houses put in their best efforts to enhance the google ranks of their sites and place them among “google chart busters”. Undoubtedly, the companies greatly follow up simple given set of pattern so that they are listed above all while being searched and listed in google results.

Limiting our scope of discussion to the importance of static pages vs dynamic pages, we shall be detailing you about the various pros and corns of the two methods in enhancing your google rankings.

It is not surprising to see an inferior content website listed high in the google ranks than the more deserving candidate. There are many reasons for this and the most important them of all is the use of static IP.

A static IP can be defined as the one that remains unchanged while you log on to the internet, unlike its counterpart dynamic IP. A dynamic IP is seen to change each time you log onto internet, and hence the name “dynamic IP”. As far as Google is concerned they prefer static IP while hosting a domain. There are several reasons for this such as easy linking, avoiding different penalties etc.

You can understand it more easily when you look at the whole process of hosting a website. When you host your site on Google it will first try to parse it with basic HTML 1.0 and if it succeeds in this process then there is absolutely no problem and your sites gets indexed and listed. If on the other hand it is not able to parse it with HTML 1.0 then it will go for higher versions that are 2, 3 or 4 or even higher.

The real problem comes at this stage only. Since static IP websites always gets parsed with HTML 1.0 therefore they get listed very easily. But when we talk about dynamic IP website the scenario is not the same. More often than not they don’t get parsed with HTML 1.0 and hence the Google has to go for higher versions.
Now for resolving your address it may even take two three months and for that period of time you are given the main IP of Google. This can be disadvantageous to you since any link which is provided by you will not be credited to your site instead it will be credited to the main root site which is more often the root site.

So who will want their link to be got credited to some other website. This is the main reason why static IP websites get better ranking on Google. So it could be said that static IP is both beneficial for the Google and the one who wants to host their website.
